| Chapter Twelve The Lord’s Testimony To all my fellow brethren in the Lord Jesus Christ, In December of 2004, I received a copy of G.A. Riplinger’s latest work, In Awe of thy Word, and I greatly enjoyed studying of the truth of the KJV. I am also a student of His Word and most specifically of Bible prophecy. In fact, I was led to the Lord by a faithful brother ten years ago in November 1994 who kindly taught me Bible prophecy for a year and a half before I came to the knowledge of the true, literal nature of His Word. Since then, the Lord has led me on a path of study from His Word alone, shunning the many corrupted theologies and dissertations that are filled with private interpretations. Instead, the Lord has granted me the faith to believe in His Word literally and with simplicity. One such verse from II Corinthians 13:1 has been a great comfort to me in understanding His truth: “ . . . In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.” II Corinthians 13:1b I was struck by a very simple thought when reading her latest book that indeed her wonderful research over these many years has established concretely this very simple truth as noted in this one verse. In fact, a one sentence summary of the truth of her book could quite well be expressed by this one Bible verse alone: “ . . . In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.” I have completed my reading of her complete work, and I humbly submit one other witness of the purity of the King James Bible: that of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ of Nazareth who is the “faithful witness.” In such, I propose to you and all that have ears to hear, that the work of King James and the very man himself was prophesied in the Scriptures spoken by the mouth of our Saviour and the author of our salvation Himself. I pray further that you would grant me the kindness of your attention for a few moments to allow me to share with you from my own book called America and King James in the Revelation. I have taken several excerpts from my CD showing the biblical foundation on which I have based my studies, of which II Corinthians 13:1b is one of the basic foundation stones: Bible prophecy is a form of worship. What greater proof of our loyalty to God can there be than to believe all that He has shown us. The rules of Bible prophecy interpretation are clear, concise and not subject to private interpretations. We can know those things that our Lord wishes us to know if we adhere to these simple rules. It is a false teaching of the devil that no one can know what these things mean. God calls us to understanding in all things and He always supplies all of our needs, even how to interpret and understand His Word: No Private Interpretations. Every word is established by two or three witnesses. Scriptures are compared line by line and precept by precept. “ . . . And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? . . .” Genesis 40:8b “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.” II Peter 1:20 “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:” Isaiah 28:10 A student of Bible prophecy should scrutinize all writings to seek out if there are any private interpretations. The test is to simply look up the references sited or check the claims made against the Scriptures themselves. The Bible is the source of all truth and is the only source we have for interpreting the Scriptures. This is a true doctrine of God no matter how many people complain that this is simply circular reasoning. If you disagree with this statement, then I advise you to take it up with the Lord when you stand before Him. He has set all the rules by which He will judge man and not vice-versa. “ . . . In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.” II Corinthians 13:1b We must always evaluate each scripture in the context that we find it and so compare it to the other Scriptures.” In such, I would like to share with you a literal interpretation of two sections of God’s Holy Word that establishes from the Lord’s own mouth that the King James Bible was not only ordained by the hand of God, but in fact prophesied by our Lord’s own testimony Himself: “. . . worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 19:10b. The first verse that is a testimony of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour of the promise He made before the foundations of the world that He would fight against the evils of the Roman Catholic Church with the sword of His mouth is found in the book of Revelation: “Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.” Revelation 2:16 The next question then arises: When will Jesus fight against “them” with the sword of his mouth, which is the Word of God? Interestingly, those which are of the church of Pergamos, where Satan’s seat is, (i.e. the Roman Catholic Church) shall be destroyed with fire by the ten kings before their own destruction by the Lord Himself. Therefore, the “woman,” which is that great city that reigns over the kings of the earth, will not be present on the great and terrible Day of the Lord when he fights against all the armies of the earth at the battle of Armageddon with the sword of His mouth. Thus by reason of logic, the Lord must fight against the “woman,” where Satan’s seat is, during the time of the seven church ages and before the Tribulation begins! This has already been fulfilled in the age of the church of Philadelphia when the Lord fought against the Roman Catholic church by the Word of God as guarded and defended by King James I. From the time that the people of the earth obtained God’s pure and Holy Word in the King James Version, God used the English people as His instrument to stem the influence of the pope throughout the world. For nearly three hundred years, papal power fell to the hands of the English. At least that is, until England turned its allegiance away from the King James Version in 1885 when they accepted the perverted version of Westcott and Hort. From this point, the British Empire “that the sun never sets upon,” began to disintegrate and the pope regained his power over the earth, and continues to trample it underfoot even unto this day. 6. In 1611, the King James English Version of the Bible appeared. Never was the Bible extensively given to the people before. From the beginning of the general dissemination of the Word of God began the rapid decline of the Papal power, and the first beginnings for at least many centuries, of the idea of "religious liberty." (J.M Carroll, The Trail of Blood) (Emphasis and underlining added) “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.” Revelation 3:8 From this one simple statement, the fulfillment of the start of the church of Philadelphia can be seen. In 1611, the King James English Version of the Bible appeared. Never was the Bible extensively given to the people before. This is the church of the open door that had a little strength and “kept” His Word. To state that the open door was opened in 1750 with the great missionary movement ignores the effect of the King James Bible immediately upon the people in England and also throughout the earth for nearly 150 years. Secondly, it also marks the literal fulfillment of Revelation 2: 16: “Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.” This is the start of Papal decline from the sword of His mouth alone as the Lord prophesied against “them.” From the beginning of the general dissemination of the Word of God began the rapid decline of the papal power . . . A careful study of the times that “are” will reveal the truth of the Catholic Church located in Rome starting with the church of Pergamos. Further, in my web page book (Chapter Eleven) I propose a complete timeline for the seven church ages of Revelation chapters two and three based on the well documented history of these times by J.M. Carroll in The Trail of Blood: Ephesus - The time of the apostles from 33 to 100 AD Smyrna - The time of persecution from 100 to 313 AD Pergamus - The marriage with the pagan world from 313 to 452 AD Thyatira - The adulterous church from 452 to 1229 AD Sardis - The dead church from 1229 to 1611 AD Philadelphia - The keeper of the Word from 1611 to 1900 AD Laodicians - The lukewarm church from 1900 to the Second Coming These are seven signs, seven landmarks on the prophetic road map leading to our Lord’s second coming. The King James Bible is the true, literal, complete, inspired and prophesied Word of God brought forth by the church of Philadelphia that preserved, maintained, guarded, defended and carefully copied the Word of God, so that all men might be free to know and love our Lord Jesus in “spirit and truth”( John 4:24). The second set of verses that is a testimony of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour of the promise He made before the foundations of the world that He would fight against the evils of the Roman Catholic Church with the sword of His mouth is found also in the book of Revelation: “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.” Revelation 3:8-9 Here the Lord states that He knows their works: they kept His Word and they did not deny His name. What does it mean to keep His Word? First, it means to observe, practice and adhere to His Word. Certainly, the godly men of the sixteenth century placed their trust in the Lord with a zeal that led them to worship Him from morning to evening every Sunday. The Bible formed the basis of English law during this time and immorality was not tolerated. Second, the word “keep” has several other meanings that apply to those that preserved the Word of God in the King James Bible: To preserve or maintain. To guard, defend. To have the care of. To continue to hold. To cause to remain. To tend To have custody. To copy carefully This was the work accomplished by King James himself when he defended, cared for, preserved, tended, kept custody, and maintained God’s Holy Word by his “special command.” But the most important work accomplished in this translation stems from a retrospective look at the weightiest meaning of the word to keep: to copy carefully. King James supported “one more exact Translation of the Holy scriptures into the English; . . .” that is now also known by the eponym “The Authorized Version.” To identify who the synagogue of Satan is, we must return to the book of Revelation in chapter twelve where John describes the wonder of the woman clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars. As in our discussion on the dragon, the woman represents the people of Israel as the nation that brought forth Jesus and by the witness of Joseph’s second dream to his brethren (Gen. 37:9-11). Yet the Roman Catholic Church makes claim that the woman of Revelation chapter twelve symbolizes their church. Thus they say that they are “Jews,” and are not, but do lie. (Reverend John P. O’Connell, Editor, The Holy Bible, (Chicago, IL: The Catholic Press, Inc., 1951: Imprimatur Samual Cardinal Stritch, Archbishop of Chicago) Catholic Encyclopedia, p. 285). This is also known today as “Replacement Theology.” Further, we must look again at the prophecy that He would make them of the synagogue of Satan come and worship before “thy” feet. In history, we can also see this fulfillment at only one time and by only one person in the history of the true church. “Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.” Revelation 3:9 Marian Movement of PriestsCopyright 2000 http://www.mmp-usa.net/ Because of the works that the people of the church of Philadelphia did, the Lord promised that he would make them of the synagogue of Satan come and worship before “thy feet.” This came to pass by the oath of allegiance that all Catholics were required to take following Gunpowder plot 1605. In “A History of England” by Clayton Roberts and David Roberts, we read: “The Gunpowder Plot created the annual celebration of Guy Faulks Day, promoted antipopery for a century and more, and provoked the passage of further penal laws against Catholics. But its significance does not end there. It was in fact, the last fling of a politically engaged Catholicism. With its failure, Catholics turned away from treason and thereby made possible the existence of a respectable Catholic community in England. This development was abetted by a new oath of supremacy, which included an express denial of the Pope’s authority to depose Kings. Those Catholics who took the oath, and they were many, became practically, if not legally, exempt from the recusancy fines.” Clayton Roberts, David Roberts, A History of England, Second Edition, (Englewood Cliffs, N.J.: Prentice- Hall, Inc., 1985) p. 315 This they did at the feet of King James who was their king!! King James is therefore, the only man in the last two thousand years, who has kept (carefully copied) the Word of God and had the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews and are not but do lie, to come and worship at his feet against the express order of the papacy. There is no one else in the last two thousand years that can fulfill this prophecy besides King James. This is the testimony of the Lord Himself!! It was at his feet that the Roman Catholics who are of the Synagogue of Satan, did, by oath of supremacy, worship at his feet as prophesied in the Book of Revelation. The King James Bible testifies of his good fruit. Knowing that the King James Bible was prophesied more than fifteen hundred years before it was translated reassures our faith in this version. It is my hope that those who read this will teach all those that have an ear to hear about the fulfillment of these prophecies in the King James Version and end the hateful debate among “Bible Scholars” on which Bible translation is the true unaltered Word of God. The testimony of our Lord Jesus Himself and of the apostle John brings to an end all so called “scholarly debate” on this subject! “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32 The evil fruit of the millions killed in the inquisitions that lasted centuries, of which their laws remain in full effect, awaiting the order of the Grand Inquisitor who resides in the office of the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith even unto today (and is now the new pope). The relentless persecution of the true church has continued from the very time of the Edict of Toleration in 313 A.D. until today, but most especially, of the evil fruit of the celebration of the mass where the wafer is offered unto the idol of the dead Jesus as they sacrifice anew the “Divine Victim.” Yet my Bible proclaims that Jesus, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God (Hebrews 10: 12). Therefore by the evil fruits born of the king named Constantine, do we know him. Yet the momentary triumph he had over the true church of God will not last. In Revelation 2:16, we read: “Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.” I invite you to review my commentary on Revelation chapters one through three (Chapters Three and Eleven on this web site) and I offer unto you a challenge to prove the assertions of Henry Morris and Clarence Larkin and other commentators of their proposed dates in light of Bro. Carroll’s excellently documented church history. To state that the “papal age” begins in 590 AD with Pope Gregory ignores the true onset of papal power with Pope Leo the Great and the concord that he made with Attilla the Hun in 452 AD. To state that the age of the “dead church” in Sardis starts with the reformation of Luther in 1520 is an illogical commentary on the movement of reform and revival that the reformation is actually known for. To state that the church of Philadelphia (with the open door of salvation and that have “kept” his Word faithfully) does not start until the great missionary movement of 1750 ignores nearly 150 years of the history of the movement of God upon the snare of the papacy and the onset of religious freedom starting first and foremost with the publishing of the King James Bible in 1611. As an ardent supporter of the King James Bible, I ask of you to consider the testimony of the greatest Bible expositor ever known, the Lord Jesus Himself and of His own personal testimony of the King James Bible given 1500 years before it happened. This is the truth of the Revelation 3: 7-13. Is there anything impossible for the Lord? Then why would it be such an incredible thing that the Lord Himself would comment on this most hateful debate of Bible versions even with in our own “Fundamental” ranks. I assert to you that He was and is not silent on this issue at all. Your fellow servant in Christ, Peter Laird Charles L.
