Chapter Nine
“My Words Shall Not Pass Away”
Part One
The Word of God has been grieved in this century by the tolerance of false teachers in our most “Fundamental”
congregations, who use vain words to attack the integrity of His eternal revelations given to us by holy men of God who
spake as they were moved by the Holy ghost (II Peter 1:20-21). So important to our Lord is the Word which he has given
to all those who have ears to hear, that he has even magnified His Word above His own name (Psalm 138:2). Yes, the
Scriptures have a life of their own and are spirit that is powerful and able to divide asunder the soul and spirit, and is a
discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (John 6:63; Hebrews 4:12). How many “Fundamentalists” in the flesh will
use puffed up doctrines of “science” so called to denigrate His Holy Word that gives us our life and our salvation? It is
impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6), and it is by the Word of God that we gain our faith: “So then
faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17) Why then do we not see champions of
faith using the Spirit of the Lord to quell this most abominable of heresies and its attack against the foundations of our faith.
In every instance that the Lord was tempted by Satan, He said “It is written” and Satan shrank away from Him defeated.
Instead of using the most powerful sword known, the enemy has drawn the church into a battle in the flesh over the
grammar of “original” Greek and Hebrew. Where then is the confirmation of the Lord in this defense of His
Word? I believe that He has been silent on this issue in most congregations for two reasons. First of all He has already
spoken and secondly the church has not trusted that He has already spoken. May the Lord grant unto us in this age of
tolerance the wisdom and knowledge to hear His voice again as all His sheep should and not listen to any voices of
strangers (John 8:47; John 10:3-5).
Many lay much weight on the sanctity of the “original autographs” with the adage of the older the better. Yet the irony is
that none of the “original autographs” are in existence today. Therefore, anyone that lays hope in the inspiration and
preservation of only the “original autographs” by extension of a logical conclusion has no hope of holding God’s
complete Word today. The many flowery and vain philosophies they expound to their “venerable” ancient manuscripts
belie this fatal error in their erroneous logic. Inspiration of God’s Holy Word and its preservation are both active, ongoing
activities of our Almighty and all knowing God. The intellect or ability to reason with our mind is a gift that God gave
to man to use in coming to repentance and a knowledge of our sin as well as knowing God’s Holiness through
both the Scriptures and the things that He has created, showing even His eternal power and Godhead (Isaiah 1:
18; Acts 17:2; Romans 1:19-22). A fundamental disservice has been played out in the midst of our congregations by not
adhering to the simplest of rules governing Bible interpretation regarding the word “inspiration.” Simply noting that only the
Bible can interpret itself (II Peter 1:20-21). Searching the Scriptures, we find only two verses in the King James Bible that
have the word “inspiration,” II Timothy 3:16 and Job 32:8. As is the case for many words in the KJV, its built in dictionary
defines the meaning of inspiration with its first use as here in Job:
“But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.”
Therefore, the source of understanding for the spirit inside of man comes only from our Almighty God. This is
what He has established as the meaning of the word inspiration. Somehow, the true church has failed to
establish in a debate with heretics of the true faith the simple fact that spiritual understanding comes first of all
only through the Holy Ghost and then by comparing spiritual things with spiritual:
“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the
things that are freely given to us of God.
Which things also we speak, not in the word which man’s wisdom teacheth; but which the Holy Ghost
teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” (I Corinthians 2:12-13)
A simple man of no learning when comparing the “exegesis” of the original Greek texts would surely not find this to be a
spiritual endeavor!! Instead, this would be an unnecessary and a great burdensome stone of stumbling to overcome for so
many of limited knowledge, but of great faith. Yet, my Bible says that its standard for understanding is unto the simple and
not to the wise:
“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the
simple.” Psalm 19:7
“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalm 119:130
“Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
I Corinthians 1:20
Why then has this debate with morally bankrupt men of reproach against God’s Holy Word continued? It
happened simply because while men slept, an enemy sowed evil seeds of discord among the wheat. The church is the pillar
and ground of the truth (I Timothy 3:15). Thy word is truth!! Therefore it is for the church of today to earnestly contend
for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints (Jude 3). We are to put on the full Armour of God and be strong in
His might. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and rulers of darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places. The history of God’s Holy Word and its preservation over the centuries is filled with the
battle against the woman atop the scarlet colored beast which resides in a city of seven hills. It is a city that reigns over the
kings of the earth and is drunken with the blood of the saints. In 1229 AD, Pope Gregory IX at the Council of Toulouse
took the Bible away from the common, “simple” man of no learning. In 1545, the Council of Trent waged war against
anyone who believed that we are saved by faith alone. There is a place of great spiritual wickedness that holds almost all of
the disputed “more modern manuscripts” in its own possession. This is the Roman Catholic Church which in the 1963
Vatican II document reaffirmed all elements of the Council of Trent.

History confirms the hundreds of people that died in England alone during the Roman Catholic rule of “Bloody
Mary.” Under the reign of “Bloody Mary, the true believers were persecuted by the Roman Catholics for their
“heresies” such as reading the Bible and condemning the atrocities of the Pope.
“When the time came that he should be brought out of Newgate to Smithfield, the place of his execution, Mr.
Woodroofe, one of the sheriffs, first came to Mr. Rogers, and asked him if he would revoke his abominable
doctrine, and the evil opinion of the Sacrament of the altar. Mr. Rogers answered, "That which I have preached
I will seal with my blood." Then Mr. Woodroofe said, "Thou art an heretic." "That shall be known," quoth Mr.
Rogers, "at the Day of Judgment." "Well," said Mr. Woodroofe, "I will never pray for thee." "But I will pray
for you," said Mr. Rogers; and so was brought the same day, the fourth of February, by the sheriffs, towards
Smithfield, saying the Psalm Miserere by the way, all the people wonderfully rejoicing at his constancy; with
great praises and thanks to God for the same. And there in the presence of Mr. Rochester, comptroller of the
queen's household, Sir Richard Southwell, both the sheriffs, and a great number of people, he was burnt to
ashes, washing his hands in the flame as he was burning. A little before his burning, his pardon was brought, if
he would have recanted; but he utterly refused it. He was the first martyr of all the blessed company that
suffered in Queen Mary's time that gave the first adventure upon the fire. His wife and children, being eleven in
number, ten able to go, and one sucking at her breast, met him by the way, as he went towards Smithfield. TGhis
sorrowful sight of his own flesh and blood could nothing move him, but that he constantly and cheerfully took his
death with wonderful patience, in the defence and quarrel of the Gospel of Christ."

“The Catholic service, Holy Communion, and the elaborate fixtures and fittings of Catholic churches taken
away during Edward's reign were immediately restored. In 1555, Parliament passed a set of Heresy laws that
made it a crime to be Protestant in England. All Protestants who refused to convert to Catholicism were to be
burnt. One of the first to go to the stake was John Rogers who had translated Tynedale's Bible into English. The
Bishops, Nicholas Ridley, Hugh Latimer and Thomas Cranmer followed soon afterwards. In all Mary was
responsible for the burnings of 227 men and 56 women, mostly in the South East of England.”

“And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. . .”

“An Eyewitness Account of the Saint Bartholomew's Day Massacre by François Dubois From the Musée
Cantonal Des Beaux-Arts, Lausanne Switzerland
August 24, 1572, was the date of the infamous St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre in France. On that day, over
400 years ago, began one of the most horrifying holocausts in history. The glorious Reformation, begun in
Germany on October 31, 1517, had spread to France—and was joyfully received. A great change had come over
the people as industry and learning began to flourish, and so rapidly did the Truth spread that over a third of the
population embraced the Reformed Christian Faith. Suddenly—and without warning—the devilish work
commenced. Beginning at Paris, the French soldiers and the Roman Catholic clergy fell upon the unarmed
people, and blood flowed like a river throughout the entire country. Men, women, and children fell in heaps
before the mobs and the bloodthirsty troops. In one week, almost 100,100 Protestants perished. The rivers of
France were so filled with corpses that for many months no fish were eaten. In the valley of the Loire, wolves
came down from the hills to feel upon the decaying bodies of Frenchmen. The list of massacres was as endless
as the list of the dead!”

“When news of the Massacre reached the Vatican there was jubilation! Cannons roared—bells rung—and a
special commemorative medal was struck—to honor the occasion! The Pope commissioned Italian artist Vasari
to paint a mural of the Massacre—which still hangs in the Vatican!”
