The False Prophet

	Chapter Seven “The False Prophet” Part One We now turn to the last of the three key rulers during the period of great tribulation, “the false prophet.” As we have discussed in the preceding chapters, each one of these three characters is prophetically, a person, a people and a spirit. We will not know who the antichrist will be until he is revealed after the falling away occurs (II Thess 2:3). So also will we not know which individual will be the false prophet until he performs great wonders and miracles *“in the sight of the beast”* (Rev 13:13-14). The people of the *“beast”* will be from Greece. Satan who is *“that old serpent,” “the Devil,”* and “the great dragon” (Rev 12:9) has his own people where *“Satan’s seat is”* located in Rome (Rev 2:13, Rev 18:7, Rev 17: 9&18). The *“mystery of iniquity”* and the *“spirit of antichrist”* (II Thess 2:7, I John 4:3) already are at work throughout the world and will indwell all three of these individuals and their people. So likewise will the false prophet be a recognizable individual of great world wide prominence (Rev 13:12) from a separate and distinct nation of people. In this chapter we will explore who the people of the false prophet are and what role they will play during the time of great tribulation. Moreover, in this chapter, to a greater extent than the two previous chapters, we will rely on the symbolic interpretation of individual words, that together as a puzzle will reveal the surprising identity of the nation from which the false prophet will arise (Matt 18:16, II Cor. 13:1). In the chapter four, we reviewed how the dragon will give his power and his seat and great authority unto the beast (Rev 13:2, Rev 17:12-13, Dan 8:24). Likewise, the false prophet and his people will give their strength unto the beast. In fact, the false prophet will perform great wonders and miracles to deceive those that dwell in the earth. He will exercise all the power of the “first beast” before him (Rev 13:12), thus having worldwide power and influence. By the influence of his power and signs and lying wonders, the whole world will be made to worship “the beast” (II Thess 2:9, Matt 24:24, Mark 13:22). He will counterfeit the true miracles and gifts of our Lord and His apostles (2 Cor.12:12, Heb2:4). Through this strong delusion and the working of miracles by the spirits of devils shall the entire earth gather together to make war against the Lamb (II Thess. 2:11, Rev 16:14, Rev 17:14). The greatest miracle that the false prophet will counterfeit is the “resurrection” of “the beast” “whose deadly wound was healed” (Rev 13:3, 12-15). He has the power to give life unto the image of the beast that he compelled the men of the earth to create. Through the working of these “miracles” and “lying wonders,” the people of the whole earth will worship the image of “the beast” and receive him who will come in “his own name” (John 5:43); and as many as would not worship the image of the beast will be killed (Rev 13:15, Rev 20:4, Rev 6:9-11), he will further cause all to take a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads that no man might buy or sell without the mark. The beast will open his mouth in blasphemy against God (Rev 13:6, Dan 7:25, Dan 11:36) and make war against the saints and overcome them (Rev 13:7, Dan 7:25). But at the time of the end, the false prophet and the beast will both be cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone (Rev 19:20, Dan 2:44, Dan 7:11 & 26-27) by the Lamb of God who is King of Kings, and Lord of Lords (Rev 19:16). In Revelation 3:10, the Lord promises the angel of the church in Philadelphia that He will keep them from the “hour of temptation, which will come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” The “dragon,” “the beast” and the “false prophet” will reign with terror over all the earth during that *“hour of temptation”* (Rev. 3:10 &. 17: 12). These are those that keep or preserve the Word of God and celebrate the duties of the Word. They guard and defend the Word against those that would silence the Gospel of Christ (Rev. 3:8). In such a time as we now live, the Lord our God continues to prove His children whether we will love the Lord with all of our heart, our mind and our soul ( Deut. 13:1-3). Each of us will stand before the judgement seat of Christ to give an account, yet those that receive not the love of the truth shall be damned ( II Cor. 5:10, II Thess. 2:10-12, Luke 2:35 & 21:36, II Peter 2:9 ). They shall stand before the great white throne and be judged by the things that are written in “the books” (Rev. 20:12, John 12:48), and all those that are not found written in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire (Rev.20:15). Therefore, only those who have a love of the truth and have *“received”* the words which the Father gave unto His Son will be sanctified through the truth (John 17:18&19). Thus, how each of us views God’s Holy Word will determine how we shall be judged. For those who hold to the knowledge that the Bible is the true, literal Word of God, then the promise that our works shall be tested by fire convicts us of our sins and brings a longing to please the Lord (I Cor. 3:13-15 ). Yet there are many that “allegorize” the Bible, and diminish the verses in the Bible dealing with His judgements. To them, His justice becomes a source of contention from a God “of love.” Yet, they shall stand in His judgement, condemned by their own words and by there willing ignorance of His Word. These are those that have failed the only true test that will matter for all eternity, and perish in their sins. One such test is found in the single verse given in Revelation 13:11. Here the Bible presents a symbolic verse that, unlike so many verses in the book of Daniel, does not give a direct interpretation in the text in which it is found. Instead, the Lord has presented a word puzzle that can only be solved by those who study His Word and first believe that every word in the Bible is ordained by God to have a true, literal interpretation. Therefore, we must first recognize that no private interpretation will bring forth any fruit of wisdom. Second, we must keep His Word in this true and literal sense. Third, we must recognize that the Scriptures state that it is every “word” that is established by two or three witnesses. When we keep these points in mind while solving the puzzle found in Revelation 13:11&12a, we are then confronted with the startling revelation of the true identity of the two horned beast: “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, . . .” Here is a purely symbolic word puzzle that will identify where the false prophet will arise. In point of fact, there are eight separate and distinct clues given from these verses from which to reason. Therefore, we can analyze these eight separate symbolic premises to see which nations in the world might fulfill any or all of these identifying clues. As in other areas in the Scripture, we can only identify individuals who fulfill prophecies in total, and not simply in partial fulfillment (Deut. 18:22). The best example is our Lord Himself, who fulfilled more than three hundred separate and distinct prophecies that name Him alone as the Messiah. No other man can stand and claim to be the Messiah in that, all that was spoken by the holy prophets has already come to pass at our Lord’s first advent. Likewise, the false prophet can only be one individual and have one nation that he will rise from. By placing our trust in the Word of God alone, diligent students of Bible prophecies may know the place of origin for the false prophet just as we have already discovered for the “beast from Greece” and the “dragon.” For this study, we will simply list those nations with worldwide power that fulfill each individual premise: 1) “Another”: The word “another” has two very basic meanings. It either means “being one more of the same kind or effect,” or it means “being one different, distinct or separate from the one considered; not the same.” The meaning thus has to be considered in the context in which it is used. In this verse, we find the contrast of the first beast from the sea and the second beast from the earth. The first beast has the crowns of royalty and the second beast has none. The first beast is like a leopard and the second beast is like a lamb. By the context in which it is used, the word “another” in this verse therefore best fits with the meaning of “being one different, separate and distinct from the one considered.” Thereby, we can further infer that by being separate and distinct, the false prophet will not come from any of the nations founded by the four beasts that rose out of the sea (Daniel 7:3). However, a second verse in Daniel chapter seven (Dan. 7:17) may imply that we cannot make a distinction between the sea and the earth. Yet, in the context of its usage in Revelation chapter thirteen, it is best interpreted as two separate and distinct entities. In fact, the conclusion of all eight clues studied in total will indeed confirm that the definition of "Another" as “separate and distinct” is, in the final analysis, the correct interpretation. Separate and distinct from the first beast: (Limited in this discussion to those with "worldwide"power) 1. U.S.A. 2. Russia 3. China 4. Japan The United States of Europe comprises the majority of the geographic territory occupied by the Roman Empire and is not therefore separate from this second beast. China, Russia, Japan and America are all outside of the territory of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East that surround the Mediterranean Sea. This is where the first beast arose and is thus not part of the geographic territory where the second beast will arise as we shall see. 2) “Coming up out of the earth”: Here the definition of the earth is given to us in an analogy. The “sea” in Daniel 7:3 is the geographic territory of the Babylonian, Media-Persian, Grecian and Roman empires. However applying the context of a geographic territory to “the earth,” inclusive of the whole earth, does not give a distinguishing clue to where that beast would rise. However, if we consider the *“sea”* in an analogous manner as *“the waters”* in Revelation 17:15 that speak of “the peoples, and nations and multitudes and tongues,” for the people of the geographic region encompassing the *“sea,”* this now yields a surprisingly distinctive clue when also applied to *“the earth,”* or simply *“the people of the earth.”* In Genesis 11:1, we read: *“And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.”* Here the word *“earth”* is defined as the “people of the earth.” This is further confirmed in Genesis 11:6: “And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language;” Thus, confirming that the definition of the *“earth”* in these verses are the “people of the earth.” Therefore, the logic puzzle now posed is which nation has risen from “the peoples of the earth.” A thoughtful consideration of this clue yields only one answer, the United States of America. Therefore, if we consider “the earth” by geographic location, it does not exclude any nation. Yet when considered as “the people of the earth” in analogous fashion to “the waters,” which are the peoples, nations, multitudes and tongues, we find that there has been one and only one nation governed by all the peoples of the earth, the United States of America. Arose out of the people of the earth: 1. U.S.A. Here the Lord has given a logic puzzle that in itself can only be fulfilled by the United States of America. America is known as the “melting pot” for the tired and hungry masses throughout the world. There is no other nation in the world today like America with all nations, peoples, tongues and multitudes existing within its borders. The Lord divided the peoples of the earth by confounding their language that they would not understand one another’s speech (Gen. 11:7). This was done to restrain the imaginations of men and keep them from rebelling against God’s purpose. A people all of one language would be able to do all that they could imagine. “And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” The greatness of American power has in many ways been from the common language that has bound together all the diverse cultures that now comprise the United State of America “from sea to shining sea.” No other nation has ever had the multitude of cultural diversities as the United States has and at the same time been united in one “American" culture. The very first nation that derived its government from the common people was America. The very first statement in the constitution is “We the people.” Likewise, there is only one nation In the world that is identified as the melting pot and is the home today of “all the peoples of the earth,” which is precisely the second definition of the word earth. Therefore, there is only one nation in the world that can fulfill this prophecy, the United States of America. (U.S. National Archives & Records Administration) “E PLURIBUS UNUM This Latin translates a couple of different ways, both of which are significant to the Plan to produce Antichrist. First, it means, "Out of many, One". In school, we are taught that our Founding Fathers meant, out of many individual states, one united nation would arise. However, our study of the occult plan demonstrates that the real meaning was, "Out of many nations, One". Secondly, this phrase could mean, "Out of many cultures, many peoples, One". Another current popular way to say this is "Unity In Diversity". This meaning is very popular in New Age and United Nations circles today, but the fact is that this goal was the one originally devised in 1776.” (THE CUTTING EDGE) 3) He had two horns: Horns in many places in the Bible clearly refer to a king or ruler. In Daniel chapter eight, the “ram” and the “goat” both have horns. The “ram” had two horns that were the kings of Media and Persia, and the great horn between the eyes of the “goat” was the first king of Greece (Dan. 8:20-21). Understanding that no prophecy is of a private interpretation, we can gain further understanding of the two horned beast of Revelation by a closer study of the “ram” with the two horns. Here the two nations of the Medes and the Persians became one in conquering Babylon. Yet, both did not rule at the same time. Darius, king of the Medes took the Chaldean kingdom on the night that Belshazzar lifted himself against the Lord of heaven and was slain (Dan. 5:23-31). However, it was his nephew, Cyrus, who as the stronger king of Persia actually conquered Babylon (Isaiah 44:27-28, 45:1-4). Even so, both Darius and Cyrus were not co-rulers at the same time, but in their own order. Interestingly, Cyrus waited until Darius had died before he became king over Babylon (Dan. 5:31, Dan. 8:3, Dan. 9:1- 2, Dan 10:1). Therefore simply having a “ram” with two horns does not imply that they both ruled at the same time, the younger waited his turn until after the death of the older. Therefore, using this analogy with the two horned beast of Revelation chapter 13 likewise does not imply having two co-rulers with equal power at the same time. Therefore, the nation that we are looking for to fulfill this prophecy by the interpretation of the Scripture alone, will have one man ruling with a second waiting his turn for the right to rule. In addition, a careful search of the Scriptures reveals that there are only two beasts in the Bible that have two horns: the ram in Daniel chapter eight and the lamb in Revelation chapter thirteen. By further analogy, two important characteristics are discovered. First, both of these beasts are sheep and both have two horns. They are the same type of beast. Second, the only difference between these two animals is in their ages. The ram is an older and more mature animal and the lamb is a newborn or very young animal. So also is the Media-Persia kingdom an ancient kingdom and America is historically one of the youngest and newborn nations on the earth. Has two rulers, but only one rules: 1. The United States The President is in power and the vice-president is waiting for his opportunity. No other nation with worldwide power can fulfill this prophecy. 4) No crowns: The first beast has seven heads, and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns. A crown is a royal or imperial headdress displaying regal power for the wearer. The two horned beast, however, has no crowns. The interpretation is that the first beast is of a royal lineage and the second beast is from the common people. Daniel 2:43 states: “And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.” Therefore Daniel prophesied that the kings of the fourth kingdom would one day, as the two legs of iron turned into the feet of iron and clay, rule together with the common man. Therefore, the two horned beast will be a ruler from the common people. Its rulers are from the common people: (Again, limited to those with "worldwide power.") 1. U.S.A. 2. Europe (+/–) 3. Russia 4. China Japan continues to have an Emperor and some countries in Europe still have a ruling monarch such as Spain. Russia and China have overthrown their monarchs. Only the United States of America has both worldwide power and a continuous history of common men rulers from its origin as a nation until now. All the rulers of American civil government have been common men rulers *“from the miry clay.”* 5) “Like a lamb”: The “lamb” throughout the Bible is a symbol for the sacrifice that our Lord gave of Himself as the “Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29, Isaiah 53:7). Therefore, for anyone to be *“like a lamb,”* means to be “like Jesus,” or simply to be a Christian. The interpretation of this passage now reveals that the people of this beast, and the individual himself, will be Christian or have the appearance of a Christian. Started as a Christian Nation: 1. U.S.A. It was only the United States of America and Canada and perhaps Australia that were founded by Christian men on Biblical principles. Although Russia and Europe certainly had strong Christian histories, they existed as pagan nations first, prior to establishing any Christian heritage. The United States of America and Canada have the distinction of being the only two nations founded on Christian practices and beliefs. The U.S. Supreme Court in the decision in 1892, Church of the Holy Trinity vs. United States Stated: “Our laws and our institutions must necessarily be based upon and embody the teachings of the Redeemer of mankind. It is impossible that it should be otherwise. . . And in this sense and to this extent our civilization and our institutions are emphatically Christian.” Throughout America's history, the Supreme Court of this land has declared in multiple rulings that America is a Christian nation and that America's institutions are emphatically Christian in nature. Above is an example of one of many such rulings. There is only one redeemer of mankind, that is the *“Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world.”* This man is Christ Jesus and this nation was founded on principles of religious freedom in obedience to the gospel of Christ alone and free from the tyranny of ungodly governments. Architect of the Capitol The Common Law came from God. Perhaps the single most influential man on the shaping of our earliest laws in America was Sir William Blackstone. In the 1600s he wrote a treatise on the English common law and how it was derived from God's laws. Such examples as putting a murderer to death were part of the common law with its origins from the Bible. He actually listed quotations from the Bible to show the origin of the laws as being directly from God. The rights of private property and trial by a jury of ones peers and not simply standing before a magistrate are all derived from the common law. His influence had a most decided impact on one young student hoping to become a lawyer. However, after reading Blackstone’s commentary on the common law with its quotes from Scripture, Charles Finney gave up this secular pursuit and became one of our greatest evangelists. Therefore, the very essence of America's original governmental doctrines were profoundly Christian in nature. In fact, Canada and the United States of America are the only countries originated on these Biblical foundations. Thus there was a time where America was “like a lamb” and in fact we can precisely date the time that America's governmental institutions turned from this foundation and began to speak as a dragon. 6) “Spake as a dragon”: The two horned beast *“like a lamb”* will initially be “like Jesus,” as a Christian nation. And then at a later time it will turn against its Christian origins and speak as Satan, the devil that old serpent. This phrase also serves as a time line and is a symbol of the turning point when the nation of the two horned beast retreats from Christianity and becomes a “goat” nation that opposes all that is righteous in this world and serves Satan alone. Although many nations serve Satan, there are few nations that from their origin were Christian and then later departed from this common heritage. Turns against their Christian origin: 1. U.S.A. America turned its back on Christianity in the 1962 Engel vs. Vitale Supreme Court decision that overturned school prayer. This was the first case in United States history where a decision was rendered based on no precedents or previous cases cited. The Supreme Court simply overturned the hundreds of prior rulings that had established America as a Christian nation. They boldly declared a reversal of these prior decisions and “spake like a dragon” at the highest levels of the American government. Today with a previous American President admitting to illicit sexual conduct, supporting gay and lesbian causes and devaluing the importance of strong family ties, it is easy to see the fulfillment of this prophecy. The false prophet, however, will be a “godly appearing” man that will have the outward appearance of a religious man, yet inwardly will be filled with the spirit of antichrist. Lest there be any misconception, the dragon and those that are like the dragon have one goal in mind: to destroy the works of the Lord and His church. At the time that the Lord was born, Satan’s people stood nearby ready to devour the man child. Herod sent his villainous troops to Bethlehem and killed all the male children that were two years old or younger in an attempt to destroy our Lord as a young child. So also today are all those of the dragon seeking to destroy those that are one flesh with the Lord in the church as His body. Make no mistake that anyone identified with the dragon has this goal in mind. In fact, our Lord told us that there would be wolves in sheep's clothing and we are to be wary of them, especially if they are in control of our governments! Sadly, in 1962, the American nation through the Supreme Court declared in a dramatic reversal of all the previous rulings, that America no longer was a Christian nation. In this year, the Supreme Court supplanted the English common law with civil law, also known as admiralty law, in the United States. The civil code has its origins in Rome and is part of the wicked fruit of that city where Satan dwells. Common law and civil law are not compatible together just as Christ has no concord with Belial (II Corinthians 6:15). If you have ever wondered why it seems that there no longer is any justice in America, it is because America has rejected it's Christian foundations on which America's laws were built and instead has chosen those of the city of Rome. Engel vs. Vitale removed school prayer from public schools under the pretense of a "wall of separation" of church and state, a phrase that is not even in the constitution. Today, most Americans believe this lie that there should be no connection of the government with the Christian religion. The origin of this phrase is from a letter by President Jefferson explaining how the government would have no control over the church in a “Wall of Separation.” However, the church and Christianity was to have a profound effect on the government in establishing the prevailing Christian principles that are in themselves the only rule of law that governs men's hearts. The current interpretation of Jefferson’s comments to exclude Christianity from the government is exactly the reverse of his original comments. However, as we will look with conclusive proof further in this lecture we will show that the American government has enthusiastically embraced all aspects of the mystery Babylon religion that is fully manifest in the Roman Catholic Church and other pagan sun god religions. Therefore, the current use of the myth of the separation of church and state is simply to apply persecution at a Federal level against the Lord and His anointed saying let us break their bands asunder (Psalm 2:1-3). The dragon still seeks to devour the man child and we also, who are His body as the true church. 7) “And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him”: The second beast will have worldwide power as does the first beast (Dan. 11:41; Rev. 13:7). Therefore, as we see the earth filled with violence as in the times of Noah (Matt 24:37, Gen. 6:11), the love of many growing cold (Matt 24:12), people going to and fro and knowledge increasing (Daniel 12:4), we know that we are in the time of the end. In Matthew 24:33, the Bible tells us, *“So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.”* So too shall we see the stage being set with all of the characters for the seventieth week to be fulfilled. Worldwide television now exists so that *“they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations”* shall see the dead bodies of the two witnesses lying in the streets of Jerusalem for three and one-half days (Rev. 11:3-10). The weak have beaten their plowshares into swords throughout the world today and say, “I am strong.” (Joel 3:10). So likewise has the Lord established the nations of the “dragon,” “the beast” and “the false prophet” for their prophetic role in mankind’s history. To this effect, we can only name a handful of nations in existence today that have worldwide power. As close as we are to the coming of our Lord by virtue of the signs that we see fulfilled, so likewise must the nation of “the false prophet” be close to his one hour of power. A list of those nations in the world today that have world wide power and could see the rise of the false prophet from their territory are given below: Has Worldwide Power: (Others may insert other specific nations as having "worldwide power" and can likewise subject any individual nation to the same analysis. In my discussion, for sake of clarity and brevity, I have limited the discussion to these five nations alone.) 1. U.S.A. 2. Europe 3. Russia 4. China 5.
